Ryder Cup Bar in Kiawah Island

What a fabulous bar & grill! On the 18th green & practice putting green of the Kiawah Ocean Course. Talk about manicured, this is it! Ryder's offers a small but good tasting menu with above average cocktails & wine. It's worth the trip even if you're not a golfer. Amazingly beautiful!

Beautiful sunset and great views and eats!

Love this restaurant so much— it’s a 5star but I gave it a 1 star today because the heat from the sunset on the porch was so hot we had to pack our dinner and leave. Ryder Cup needs to accommodate for this intense sun with some shades or avoid seating in this area. Let’s get this right before PGA!!

View is spectacular!

Great views, service and vibe. The nachos as well as chicken wings are generous and excellent value. Nice range of craft beers and my wife loves the Margaritas! Sit outside, weather permitting..

What a great place for lunch and/or cocktails. The view and the grounds are simply stunning at this iconic golf course. We were told the Ryder Cup bar at the Ocean Course Clubhouse was a must do for lunch. That advice is spot on! We sat on the porch and had a very relaxing and tasty lunch...and enjoyed every minute. The food - crispy shrimp and fish tacos- was very good and perfect sized for lunch. We also two glasses of wine, and while a little pricey the pours were good so no issues. The service was great from the moment we walked in the front door. The hostess was super friendly and welcomed us as if we were regulars, as was the service from our waitress. AAll in all a great day at the Ryder Cup bar for lunch. We can’t wait to go back already!

Don't forget dessert...white chocolate bread pudding!

Hostess was a little less than friendly...and it didn't appear to be that busy. The wait staff was excellent and the food was delicious....and the view.... spectacular!

My worst experience at this restaurant. Have frequented this restaurant over seven years of vacationing in Kiawah and always had a great time. this was by far the worst experience. Two hour wait as we watched party after party that arrived after us be seated. As soon as I went to the hostess stand to check on our spot, magically a table was available however it was in a construction zone. No view. Terrible view of a construction site. We asked to be reseated and that cost is another 20 minutes.

The most beautiful atmosphere ever ! I feel so at peace and happy when I'm here. I can't say how much I love watching the families and kids play outside on that beautiful lawn and putting green. It is like a Ralph Lauren commercial of pure beauty. Food is great. Ask for both menues. It makes for a better selection. We go there with the intention of hanging out for a long time. And so should everyone. Great service. Amazing place

This is specifically related to the Ryder Cup bar and nothing else. The golf course was amazing but I was a little disappointed with the post-round beverage. We sat down and specifically asked if the beer glasses were frosted as it was very humid outside. We were told that they were in fact frosted but as you can, they were not. The views were amazing and it's not a huge deal considering how amazing everything else was but If I was told the glasses were frosted, I want FROST!!!

Enjoyed a great lunch here. The course looks beautiful, I'm not the skill level to golf it myself. A good range of sandwiches and appetizers with a few entrees.

Mediocre Food at Best but Great Atmosphere. Watch the charges here. The waiter charged more than $400 for our $120 meal. The waiter brought me my $120 bill but charged $400. Management did not seem to think that this mischarge, the mediocre food, and the poor service was abnormal. I am not happy about having to check my card statement to ensure the charge was voided. Of course most of their patrons can afford to pay $400 for a couple beers, two poboys, fish and chips, and and appetizer... I prefer to pay for my own food. I could give a long review of the food but it is not worth the effort. Service was average but poor for price of meal. The waiter seemed to pay a lot of attention to the table next door with the $400 tab. Probably best to just go enjoy the setting by getting expensive drinks (forego the meal) unless you enjoy mediocre food, average service, and overbilling.

Came here to gab and drink and watch the sunset. We luckily got a spot at the bar as the entire place was super crowded due to everyone else having the same idea of watching the sunset and grabbing a cocktail. The service was still quick and you couldn’t beat the views with the ocean, the golf course and the sunset! Might be my favorite spot on the island!

The view is spectacular, the service staff are amazing, the food is mediocre. For a world class bar and lounge this is not a place to enjoy lunch or dinner but it is a place to enjoy the view and have drinks with friends.

Terrific views of the ocean, dunes D golf course. Good was good. A bit pricey, but it is at a high end golf resort.

Well I don’t think you can get a better view! Great view, pricey but what do you expect! You are watching golfers play into 18 on the patio with the Ocean in the background.

Fantastic food and great service. Cameron was our server and was extremely helpful when we were making food decisions. All the staff was great and moving with a sense of urgency. No cold food or warm drinks. For the location, not pricey. Loved sitting on the lawn after eating and watching golfers play the 18th. Of course drinks were served there also. Open to the public.

One of the best golf course bars/restaurants I have been to. So good, that we ate lunch and dinner there. Perfect views of the Atlantic and the 18th of the Ocean Course. Try the Low Country Grilled Cheese (Pimento Cheese, Country Ham, Fried Green Tomato, Jalapeno Cornbread)

Great food and service. Unparalleled views of ocean. Idyllic location.
